What say does the recruiter have in the candidate selection ?


Apart from shortlisting and sending resumes does the recruiter have a say in the final candidate shortlisting.

This post by Lou Adler gives insights into the art of influencing the Hiring Manager.

He stresses on the point of increasing the involvement levels both during screening and during the interview process.

Other points of note – do a solid preliminary screening. Get detailed example of the major accomplishments of the candidate. It surely helps to know more.

And the final note – Recruiters must Lead the Hiring Process – primarily by conducting a solid interview and then following it up with a thorough debriefing session.
